This listing is for THREE "frag"ments of a chalice coral on a 7/8" frag disc or 1.5" plug. Chalice corals can change size, shape, and texture depending on lighting, food, and water. Higher-quality lights and more frequent feeding produce larger corals with better color. Chalice corals are a large polyp stony coral with intermediate-difficulty care requirements. Chalice corals only grow in saltwater aquariums - not freshwater. They are not as easy as soft corals, but they are much easier than small polyp stony corals. They require high quality light and water quality. Routine water changes, a good coral light, and testing your water regularly for calcium, KH, and nitrate is sufficient to help this coral thrive! Because this is a live animal, colors, shapes, and sizes may change (especially due to stress from shipping). If you are interested in a specific coral, please send us a message and we will let you know if it is available! Acclimation: Simply float the coral for 30-60 minutes until the water in the cups are the same temperature as the water in your aquarium. Ensure your water quality is good by testing your salinity, temperature, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, pH, calcium, and KH. Fix any problems while the coral is floating. You can then quickly remove the coral from the cup and place it near the bottom of your aquarium, in a safe location where it will not be knocked over by the current or other animals. Discard the water from shipping. Every week, you can slowly move the coral closer to the lights until you are happy with where the coral is. Bright light quickly after shipping can stress corals. Live Arrival Guarantee: Please reach out to us immediately if a coral arrives dead or damaged due to shipping. Simply send us a picture of the coral in the shipping container (do not remove it from the water for the picture). Most corals close up during shipping and open slowly over several days. We will happily refund or replace corals that arrive dead. This coral will appear solid white when it dies. If it has color under blue light, it is still alive!
