The Flanders NaturalAire High Efficiency Air Filter has a MERV (Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value) rating of 8 designed to eliminate household dust, pollen, dirt, mold spores and more. Ordinary furnace filters are designed to protect heating and cooling equipment from the insulating properties of relatively large airborne particles. The high efficiency MERV 8 goes far beyond that, removing particles that can stain walls and furnishings, or worse, aggravate seasonal allergies. The self-sealing gasket eliminates the air bypass of dust and contaminants. Plus the deep V-pleats provide large media surface area for more effective filtration while keeping airflow resistance low.
