ACP's Carbon Fiber Honeycomb Sandwich Panels excel in various applications, offering flat, lightweight, and rigid properties. They're crafted by 'sandwiching' an aramid honeycomb core between self-adhesive, medium modulus carbon fiber prepreg layers. This structure enhances strength beyond that of the skins alone. Carbon fiber prepreg outer layers create robust skins with high strength-to-weight ratios, thermal and electrical conductivity, high tensile strength, low density, weight, thermal expansion, and excellent fatigue resistance. Our panels are cured at high temperatures and pressure, ensuring fully consolidated carbon fiber skins bonded to the aramid honeycomb core. The honeycomb core's cells remain resin-free, preventing excess weight. Manufactured with lightweight, high-strength aramid honeycomb, these panels boast higher compressive strength and lower core densities than balsa and foam core counterparts. The aramid honeycomb core is designed for high bondability, maintaining panel integrity. For increased panel stiffness, a thicker core can be used without significantly impacting weight and cost.
