When used with a rapid brushing motion, these ostrich feathers generate static electricity that attracts dust, making this duster an eco-friendly, cost-efficient alternative to disposable dusters. Ostrich feather dusters are especially light and thus ideal for dusting glass surfaces, fragile objects, or smaller pieces that tend to topple over easily. This duster measures 11-3/4-inches long, with the feather head measuring 6-3/4-inches in diameter and comes in a set of 2 dusters.This duster features hand selected genuine ostrich feathers and is finished with a sleek, varnished pine handle. For maintenance, it is recommended to treat the wooden handle periodically with linseed oil. Shake out the duster after each use and for a deep clean, wash feathers in lukewarm water with a mild shampoo. Hang to air dry with feathers facing down to prevent damage to wooden handle. Duster should be completely dry before storage to ensure the utmost quality.
