Simulant Electric Tester Inspection Tool Set The SmartPro Gem-Eye I (SPGE-1) is remarkably designed and specifically developed to distinguish between diamonds and other simulants, using the principle of thermal conductivity. The exceptional heat conductivity of diamonds is unlike any simulant. Therefore, diamonds are not easily replicable. This high-efficiency, seamless gem tester features an LED indicator and accurately tests diamonds as small as 0.01 ct. It consists of two linked thermometers; one that is heated electronically, while the other is cooled by the gemstone being tested. The difference in temperature creates an electrical output, which is then amplified and displayed on an analog dial. No waiting time between tests! Comes with a manufacturer's warranty (batteries not included). Additional Details & Specifications: The retractable thermoelectric probe tip ensures constant pressure between probe tip and gemstone. Equipped with a color stone estimator to assist the user in distinguishing different, popular gemstones from one another. Metal alert buzzer ensures probe tip is in contact with gemstone during testing. Includes the industrys thinnest probe tip (0.48 mm). Built-in diamond and simulant test discs for reference.
