It includes specialized detection methods for high-chassis trucks and containers, and can be used directly with barrier gates and advertising gates without additional configuration. 1-2.It is suitable for construction environments where inductive loops cannot be installed, such as roads with underground steel mesh or manhole covers. 1-3.Installation is simple, and testing can be performed prior to installation, saving time and labor at special sites. 1-4.The dual-channel version with a host supports multiple operating modes: single-channel mode, direction discrimination mode, and pedestrian-vehicle separation mode. 1-5.Both single and dual-channel detectors support customization and are fully compatible with your company's secondary development requirements. 2. Functions and Parameters: 2-1. Output method: Level output. For special interfaces, an external relay module can be connected to switch to switch output (optional). 2-2. The detector uses a 5-core shielded cable, with a maximum customizable length of 100 meters (default factory length: 3.2 meters). 2-3. Detection range: Taking an ordinary motor vehicle as an example, the detection area is a sphere with a radius of 60 cm centered on the detection head (the cable itself has no detection function or range). The detection range increases accordingly for objects with higher iron content. 2-4. Operating voltage: DC 5–24V (custom voltages available upon request). Operatingcurrent: <20 mA TTL output: Auto-adaptive for 5V–12V ground loop interfaces. 3.Wiring Method: 3-1.The detector operates using a 5-wire system: Red ------》 DC (5–24V) Note: If the barrier gate board lacks 12V, connect to the 5V limit voltage. Black ------》 GND Yellow ------》 TTL Output 1 (High level when no vehicle, Low level when vehicle present) Green ------》 TTL Output 2 (Low level when no vehicle, High level when vehicle present) White ------》 Configuration Wire 3-2.When using an external power supply, the black wire (GND) must be connected not only to the power supply ground but also be tied to the ground wire of the barrier gate board. 3-3.Connect the TTL output to the ground loop signal input of the barrier gate. Select the appropriate interface based on the connector type. 3-4.For less experienced users, it is recommended to use the optional external module (equipped with power and relay operation indicators). 4. Configuration Method: 4-1. Operating Mode Configuration (Factory default: Normal operating mode): A. Normal Operating Mode: TTL output toggles when a vehicle is detected. B. Large Vehicle Mode: Connect the white wire to the yellow wire before powering on to enter Large Vehicle Mode. C. Counting Mode: Connect the white wire to the green wire before powering on to enter Counting Mode. 4-2.Output Configuration: A. For applications requiring control of an external device upon vehicle detection, please use the optional external module. Utilize the COM and NO terminals, and connect the yellow wire from the module to IN1. B. Module Interface: Connect VCC to the red wire, GND to the black wire, COM and NO1 to the external device, and NO2/IN to the yellow wire. 5. Installation Method (Using a Barrier Gate as an Example): 5-1. For barrier gate controllers with a circuit board providing 12V or 5V output, only three wires need connection: Red (12V positive), Black (GND), and Yellow (Ground Loop Signal) or Green. The white wire is for special function configuration (setting Large Vehicle Mode or Gate Opening Mode). If using an external power supply, the power ground must be common with the circuit board ground. 5-2. After wiring, you can test before cutting the slot. Place the detection head at the intended installation location, secure it with a brick or stone, then power cycle the system. Upon power-up, there is a 10-second vehicle-present state (to prevent hitting vehicles after a power failure). Wait until the no-vehicle state is reached, then proceed to test. The output signal should persist while a vehicle is present and disappear once the vehicle leaves. 5-3. Slot Length: For a 3-meter barrier gate arm, a 1-meter slot is sufficient. Use a 1.5-meter slot for a 4-meter arm, and a 2-meter slot for a 4.5-meter arm. It is not necessary to place the detection head in the center of the lane; positioning it near the wheel path yields optimal results. For passages wider than 4.5 meters, install two detection heads to increase the detection area. 5-4.Slot Depth: Bury the detection head approximately 2 cm below the road surface. For asphalt roads, a deeper slot of about 5 cm is recommended. For surfaces with poor paving like bricks or gravel, it is best to encase the detection head in a concrete block. The primary goal is to ensure the detection head remains immobile. Conduit for the cable is optional but facilitates future maintenance. 5-5.Detection Head Installation: The detection head can be placed horizontally or vertically; there is no orientation requirement. 6. Installation Precautions: 6-1. The detection head must not be placed too close to 220V AC power sources. For smaller AC power sources, maintain a distance of at least 30 cm from the detection point. 6-2. Unsuitable Locations: Visually inspect the surroundings for the presence of extra-high voltage power lines, large transformers near the construction site, or strong magnetic guide strips on the ground. If any are present, conduct an extended test before proceeding with installation.
